Oscillating systems

Oscillatory motion happens in various places: in the sky in the movement of the stars, on the wrist in the rotation of the gears in a personal watch, in the chest of an animal with warm blood pumped by the heart, or in the vibrations of guitar strings. Oscillatory movements are periodic processes, whether or not the period is kept at a constant value over time. Always, however, they are fascinating, bewitching the human imagination and creating moods, stimulating feelings and shaping behaviours.
