The work From Euclid to Hilbert presents in four volumes the path that geometry has traversed over two and a half millennia. The volume Falnica Elada shows that the ancient Greeks are the ones who transformed mathematics into science. The Renaissance volume represents a lesson about the survival and return of geometry among the preoccupations of science. The volumes Modern Era and Contemporary Era respect the chronological principle of the development of geometry, with some important contributions of some Romanian mathematicians being highlighted in the final part.
