Computing Center of the University of Bucharest (CCUB), the first computer science unit established in Romania

Gratitude to the pioneers of Romanian informatics and Debt to future generations. In order to keep up with the top technology represented by electronic computers that appeared in the world after 1945, acad. Grigore C. Moisil introduced in 1959 a new specialization in higher education called Computing Machines and in 1962 he founded the Computing Center of the University of Bucharest (CCUB), within the Faculty of Mathematics. With these thoughts we started to develop this book about CCUB and about the pioneering field of Computig (hardware and software) - Informatics and IT.
